Boston Alliance for Community Heath
The Alliance for Community Health is public health planning at the neighborhood level. It consists of a partnership of community coalitions, residents, hospitals, nonprofit organizations and government agencies working together to improve health in Boston’s neighborhoods for the past eight years. Boston’s Alliance for Community Health is comprised of 11 neighborhood coalitions working together to improve the overall health of their residents, with a focus on health promotion and prevention. Each neighborhood chooses a health topic to work on, and their projects include input from community residents, health care providers, and other key neighborhood stakeholders.
